Answers:
Oh yes, there's a HUGE difference between the two!. The balsamic vinegar will sweeten as it cooks where the white will add a very sour taste to the dish!.

You don't want to add the white where the recipe calls for Balsamic!. Not even Red wine vinegar can subsitute for Balsamic, it gets very syrupy when cooked and very sweet!.

You could just skip adding it altogether if you already started making the dish!. It won't be horrible not to add it!. If you add the white, it will be worse than adding nothing at all!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have posted some very informational sites that explain the different vinegars and will help you decide if you want to use it instead of what the recipe calls for!. It will be ok, just taste a lil different!. I think it would be better than white in the recipe you posted!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes it will, white vinegar is very acidic!.!.!.and balsamic vinegar is aged mellow and a bit on the sweet side!. Do you have any red wine in the house!? or even a white wine!? if you do, then add @ a 1/2 teas!. of your vinegar to the wine!.!.!.it will turn the wine and you can use that in your recipe!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, it will affect the taste!.
Balsamic is heavy, fruity, and sweet!.
If you must your white vinegar, cut back the amount, and stir in a slight amount of strawberry or other berry jam!. (1-2 teaspoons)Www@FoodAQ@Com

There is A HUGE difference between the two!. Do not substiture white vinegar for balsamic, totally different textures and tastes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just add one table spoon of soy sauce and one tablespoon of white vinegar!.!.!.That will do it just right!. Believe me I've done it before ;)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes, Balsamic contains pine gum & is aged, slightly sweet!.
A wine vinegar would be a better substitute than white!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
