It was only fresh tomatoes that have been implicated!. Any product that is canned at this point was already prepared well before you bought it!.
As a precaution the temperature you should cook the finished product would be a minimum of 175 degrees!.

from what the news is saying, it's only the fresh tomatoes, and only in certain states (so far)!. i'm not sure about mass, but if you bought canned/jarred tomato related products, you should be ok!. i don't think u should worry about the heating up all the way issue!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
As far as I know this is just for fresh tomatoes!. In a canned tomato product any salmonella would have been killed in the canning process!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Pre-packaged in jars/cans is fine, Just nothing fresh from your produce section for right now is advisable!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I had some tomatoes from a can!. You are fine!. If you are worried, just heat it up!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
it should be as long as the canning process was done correctlyWww@FoodAQ@Com
