If the date on my eggs is June 2, can I use them to bake bread pudding?!
Answers:
To check to see how "good" the eggs are, float them in a pan of water!. If they float to the top of the water, toss them out!. If they are somewhere in the middle use them for baking, if they stay on the bottom use them for fried eggs!.
The date on the carton is just there for the store manager to take them off the shelf and send them over to the school cafeteria to be fed to you for scrambles for breakfast!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

for future reference dates on most perishable products purchased in a grocery are "sell by" dates where as dates in restaurants are "use by" dates!.
"sell by" dates on perishable products allow for at least 7 days to be used by, many allow for even longer!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Eggs stay good much longer than you would think!. If in doubt, crack each egg, individually into a seperate bowl before adding it to your mixture!. this way, you can check each egg as you crack it- if it's bad, you will know!. It will smell or look funny!. Happy baking!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Gross!. Although I'm the type of girl who throws away milk 3 days before it expires, as any type of product that has to be refrigerated sketches me out close to the expiration date!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Here is an excellent site on the proper handling and storage of eggs, just to make sure even one is safe!. Cheers

You could probably, but I wouldn't risk it!. Throw them out, a new carton of eggs is $4 but a doctor visit is $20!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
