Movie Star Popcorn --
INGREDIENTS
3 tablespoons peanut oil
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup unpopped popcorn
1/2 teaspoon salt
DIRECTIONS
Heat the oil in a 2 to 3 quart saucepan or pot with a lid set over medium-high heat!. Pour in popcorn kernels and sprinkle enough salt to lightly cover the layer of kernels!. Remember, you can always add more salt later!. Add the butter to the pot and cover with the lid!.
As soon as the kernels start to pop, shake the pan back and forth across the burner constantly until the popping slows down!. As soon as the pops are about 2 seconds apart, remove from the heat and pour into a serving bowl!. Taste, and season with additional salt if desired!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I actually prefer popcorn done in a popcorn popper not microwaved!. For the stove top use a heavy bottom 4 or 5 quart stockpot with a lid, add enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom of the pot, add not more than 2/3 cup of popcorn, cover the pot and cook on medhigh heat, when popcorn begins to pop, shake the pot back and forth a couple of times to prevent the corn from burning, continue to cook until the popping slows down to a couple of pops!. Dump into a large bowl and add melted butter and salt!. You will find you will not need to much butter because of the oil from the pan!. Enjoy and have fun!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Before the microwave, my mom used to make popcorn on the stove!. We always used a large pot, put a little oil in the bottom and added the popcorn, a couple table spoons!. Put the lid on and set it on medium heat!. And shook the pot over the heat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Get a natural black corn: http://www!.blackjewell!.com/regular!.html and pop it in the pan (instructions included)!. Good for a Friday the 13th party!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Put some oil in the pan - just to cover the bottom, not heaps!. Put in half a cup of popcorn kernels and stir around!. Put the heat up to high and cover with a lid!. Then wait until the kernels have popped and you have popcorn!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
a small amount of oil or clarified butter just to cover the bottom of the pan add kernels to cover a single layer
as the first kernels pop cover with a loose lid
they will pop fast then slow down,,,, remove the heat and let set a moment!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well, that's unlucky!. you can actually put the corn kernels into a regular brown paper bag and pop them in the microwave, its easier than stove top!.
or get an air popper!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
