Question: Basic potatoe recipe!?
it has to be able to be made on a frying pan!. i want to make something other than the useual chips!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

grate op the spuds (coarse)
squeeze out excess water
stir in small amount of oil, peeper salt & soy sauce!.
shape into hamburger size patties and fry medium turning frequently for about 10 minutesWww@FoodAQ@Com

You can use regular frying pan and fry the potato well in the 1/2 inch deep oil

3 lbs yukon gold potatoes
1 cup onions
1 cup celery
1 lb bacon
8 ounces cream cheese
1 (1 lb) container sour cream
16 ounces shreaded cheddar cheese

Dice onions& celery!.
Fry bacon crisp and crumble!.
Add cream cheese,sour cream and chedder cheese in large bowl!.
Cut potatos in 3/4 in!.
chunks and deep fry 5 to 7 mins!.

Skillet Home Fries

3 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 large onion, finely sliced
1 large red pepper, finely diced
2 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
1 tablespoon paprika
Salt and freshly ground pepper
4 red potatoes, cut into 1/2-inch cubes

Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat!. Add onion and saute until soft!. Add red pepper and garlic and cook for 1 minute!. Add paprika and cook for 1 minute!. Add potatoes and season with salt and pepper to taste!. Cover and cook until almost cooked through!. Remove cover and continue cooking for 5 to 10 minutes until golden brown!.

southern style potatoes

1-2 good sized potatoes
some bacon grease
an onion cut into rings
black pepper
salt


take a cast iron skillet and get it nice and hot!. cut potatoes into spears or rings and do the same with the onion!. Fry in the bacon grease!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
