I received these silicone cupcake molds as a gift, as I am very fond of baking, and silicone bakeware is currently very popular!.
They can be very convenient, as they replace the paper cups that you use for cupcake wrappers, making it more difficult to accidentally eat part of the wrapper!.
Once you bake the cupcakes in the mold, the part I found most useful is that most of the cupcakes just pop right out of the mold!. Unfortunately, some of the cupcakes were more stubborn and just sort of half stuck in the mold, so that you popped out most of the cupcake but the bottom was still in the mold!.
The cupcakes baked very easily and evenly in the silicone molds, and the molds can apparently go in the microwave, the freezer, and the dishwasher!. I have not tried any of these, because I don’t see the need to microwave my cupcakes, nor do they last long enough to need to be frozen!.
We don’t own a dishwasher, so the one downside of these molds is that they are difficult to get clean!. The cupcake sticks to the grooves of the molds!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yes you bake with them!. i like mine!. you don't have to put muffin cups in them, unless they are presents for someone!. i do spray mine with a little pam!. most silicon has a tendency to discolor!. make sure you put your silicone on a cookie sheet when you bake them, never put your silicone molds directly on the oven!. it just makes it easier to get it in and out of the overn!. good luckWww@FoodAQ@Com
