Puree whatever tomatoes you are using, or use canned puree!. Heat to almost boiling!. Meanwhile take a bit of water, and mix with some cornstarch start with 2 teaspoons per cup of finished gravy!. Mix well, and add to hot sauce!. Bring just to a boil, as this is required to initiate the chemical reaction that thicken the liquids!. You can always add more cornstarch to your liking!. This is the streamline way!. There is another old fashioned way which required a butter and flour "roux" which you can look up on line!. Now add seasonings you like!. Never add salt till towards the end of cooking time!. Happy cooking!Www@FoodAQ@Com

My Mom used to make milk gravy and cut up fresh tomatoes in it!. If you dont want big chunks, use canned diced (which with the current tomato scare is WISE)!. Most cooks will tell you that tomato gravy is spag!. sauce!. We in the south know that you CAN cut tomatoes in milk gravy LOLWww@FoodAQ@Com

You could just thicken some canned diced tomatoes with a little cornstarch and season with salt and pepper!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

WHAT!? There is no such thing as tomato gravy! That is a tomato sauce!.!.!. with biscuits!? Gross!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
