What's your funky chicken idea?!
I got a whole chicken for only 44 cents a pound, and I've got no room in the freezer!. Don't need to make anymore chicken broth yet, so no boiling it!. My daughter won't let me cut it up cause she wants the wishbone!. I don't want to roast/bake it!. I'm craving something different now that my daughter is expanding her palate - arroz con polla, tandoori chicken, just not the usual roast chicken!. Anything not involving curry, red/hot pepper, bell peppers, BBQing, smoking, boiling the chicken, or plopping it in a crockpot is a good thing!. I'd appreciate an idea for some way you like to make a whole chicken instead of canned recipes from a website!. So how do you like to make your chicken a spunky and funky chicken!? Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Answers:
Since you want to salvage the wishbone, cut the chicken into small pieces, or the typical 8 pieces, and make whatever you're craving - but when you cut up the breast, cut around the wishbone so as to not break it, or cut into it, if it's not already broken, and the child will have a wishbone!. Arroz con pollo sounds good to me!. Which way or style do you make it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com
Cut it up into pieces, place it on some tortillas in a pan, mix mushroom soup (cream of), cream of chicken soup and small can of rotel tomatoes together and spread over the top, put it in the oven and bake for about 45 minutes, then scatter some cheese of your choice and bake for another 15 minutesWww@FoodAQ@Com
This is different from your regular roast chicken!. It's Great!

Baste occasionally with pan juices or until pan juices start to caramelize on bottom of pan and chicken is golden brown!.
