Baked Macaroni and Cheese
1/2 pound elbow macaroni
3 tablespoons butter
3 tablespoons flour
1 tablespoon powdered mustard
3 cups milk
1/2 cup yellow onion, finely diced
1 bay leaf
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 large egg
12 ounces sharp cheddar, shredded
1 teaspoon kosher salt
Fresh black pepper
Topping:
3 tablespoons butter
1 cup panko bread crumbs
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F!.
In a large pot of boiling, salted water cook the pasta to al dente!.
While the pasta is cooking, in a separate pot, melt the butter!. Whisk in the flour and mustard and keep it moving for about five minutes!. Make sure it's free of lumps!. Stir in the milk, onion, bay leaf, and paprika!. Simmer for ten minutes and remove the bay leaf!.
Temper in the egg!. Stir in 3/4 of the cheese!. Season with salt and pepper!. Fold the macaroni into the mix and pour into a 2-quart casserole dish!. Top with remaining cheese!.
Melt the butter in a saute pan and toss the bread crumbs to coat!. Top the macaroni with the bread crumbs!. Bake for 30 minutes!. Remove from oven and rest for five minutes before serving!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

2 lbs!. frozen shredded hash brown potatoes (thawed)
1 bunch green onions, chopped
sweet pepper chopped (red – green – yellow – orange – or a mixture of all)
1 lb!. Sausage, cooked until pink disappears, crumbled
1 cup ham cubes
4 slices crisp bacon, crumbled
1 small can sliced mushrooms
1 small can sliced black olives
2 – 8oz!. packages of shredded cheese
? cup milk
12 eggs beaten
Tabasco (optional)
sour cream & salsa (optional)
Grease a 9 x 13 baking pan, wipe excess with paper towel!.
Spread potatoes on bottom (cand be lightly browned in a skillet first if desired)
Sprinkle sausage over potatoes…then
Peppers…
Mushrooms…
Ham!.!.
Onions (reserve about ? cup)
Mix eggs & milk together……!.I added about 2 TBLS!. Tabasco…more to your taste… pour slowly over all!.
Cover with shredded cheese…!.then sprinkle over all
Remaining onions…
Olives…
Bacon…
Cover and refrigerate overnight!.
Uncover and bake at 375 degrees for 35 – 45 minutes…until browned and cheese is melted!.
Serve with sour cream and/or salsa!.

Tator tot casserole!.!.!. my husband LOVES it!.!.!. it's great leftover too--- you can add cheese or whatever you want- but I don't like cheese!.!.!. here is my recipe:
1 lb of ground beef
1 can of cream of celery
1 can of green beans
1 1/2 cup of frozen corn
tator tots
pre-heat oven to 375
So I brown the beef until it is as I would be willing to eat it- spice it with what I like- I usually keep it simple with some pepper, salt and some garlic powder!. Strain the grease from it!. I put the meat, cream of celery and veggies into a bowl and stir them all up- pepper some more then lay it all down into the dish I intend to bake it in!. Then I lay the tator tots on top- all over!. I season again- and cover with tin foil!. I put it in the oven and bake it!.!. usually around 30-45 minutes- the goal is to brown the tator tots since everything else is fine in it!. Whenever it seems like I need to I take the tin foil off the last 5 to 10 minutes to just be sure the tops of the tator tots are crispy!.
