Is a blender a suitable substitute for a food processor?!

Question: Is a blender a suitable substitute for a food processor!?
I'm making a berry pie!. I have to crush graham crackers for the crust and puree berries for the filling!. What do you think!? Do I need to borrow/buy a food processor for this or can I just use my blender!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
For the purposes you mention a blender will work just fine!.

Over all, however, a food processor is not a substitute for a blender!. It's a much more versatile appliance!.

I find it easiest to crush graham crackers by putting a few at a time in a plastic bag and then crumb them with a rolling pin if you don't have a food processor!. However, the blender will work!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

You can puree the berries, but blenders need some liquid (or you'll burn out the motor)!.!.!. so crush the crackers by hand!. Put them in a zip-lock baggie and roll them with a rolling pin!.!.!.!.!.!. Both food processors & blenders puree, but only food processors slice, chop & grind solids (with no liquid added)Www@FoodAQ@Com

blender will work fine for those things!.!.!.!. I wouldn't stick a cucumber in there tho!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

yeah it works the sameWww@FoodAQ@Com
