Definately, especially if you like cream cheese, as it makes a simple appetizer:
1 Block Cream Cheese, softened (out 4 hours, room temp)
1 small can tiny shrimp or crab, picked over (any shell removed and well drained on paper towels)
6 ounces of Jalapeno Jelly
On a decorative plate, center block of cream cheese top with half crab or shrimp!. Cover with jalapeno jelly, top with remainder of crab/shrimp!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Serve with crackers!.

Food Network has a good one!.!.!.!.!.!.
BTW, I make a homemade Red Bell Pepper and Ancho Chili Jam which in the above recipe is great!.!.!.!.!.!.!.and if you eliminate the crab/shrimp, it's only TWO INGREDIENTS!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Actually it is worth the trouble, go to a gourmet store and see what they charge for it, if your making jelly just chopped say 1 good pound of jalepenos and cook them with a good 2 cups of vinegar, 2 cups of water and 2 cups of sugar!. Cooking it until the sugar dissolves and simmer for 10 minutes, then strain out the solids, reheat just to a simmer and add the gelling agent, you can use the same as for fruit jams one package of dry or the Certo liquid, I would use both packs of certo in the box!.
Now if your going to make a jam like product, remove 90% of the seeds and veins, leave a couple with them in, I run them in a food processor and add the mash to the mix like I said for the above recipe, and do the same thing, only you do not have to strain, once it has boiled just turn it of and add the Certo or Pectin packs, and then jar like the other one, the jam will be cloudier and have pieces, if you like keep one or two and cut them in slices, put them in the jars when your adding the jelly to the jars, just for show!.
You can make this with both green and red jalepenos, serranos and if you like something really spicey and has a kick then use scotch bonnet from Jamaica or habeneros from Mexico, even ad some dried ancho, poblano or passilla to the red variety, if you have anymore questions drop me a line, I will help all I can!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
