Whats the difference between oven chips and frying chips?!

Question: Whats the difference between oven chips and frying chips!?
I know you're supposed to bake one, fry the other, but on both packets it says 'ingredients: 96 % potatoes, 4 % sunflower oil!.' So if the ingredients are exactly the same, why have two different kinds, what makes them different from each other!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
there is no difference !. the oven chips have been fried but not quite cooked and just need warming in the oven!. they are quicker and no need to heat up oil to cook them!. try oven chips fried in oil anyhow as they come out great!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Excess oil!. I use my food processor and slice chips from real potato, spray with a little pam, or not, then season with salt/spice, cook in oven at 350 til brown!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Frozen fries you can do either, but they seem to get kind of grease-logged when deep fried!.
I ALWAYS use potatoes and make my own deep fried fries!.
Top with either garlic (salt) and grated cheese or mozzarella cheese and gravy!. Now that is YUM!Www@FoodAQ@Com

frying them is a lot less healthy, there is more greasy fats that your body doesn't need!. the baked chips are healthier, no grease and they even taste fresher!.
