Question: Has anyone used heat, like chiles or peppers, with fruit!?
I have this idea for a melon mango chopped salad, and I want to add some heat!.!.!.but I don't want to add things like onions or garlic!. I want the fruit to taste like fruit!. Has anyone done this, and how was it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Indian cuisine is well know for its fruit chutneys which can be quite hot!. Google chutney, and you'll probably get a ton of recipes!.

also mango is great with spice, it is a popular treat in Mexico!.

When I was in Thailand it was popular to dip fruit into a salt spice mix, also very good!.

Try putting some Jicima in with your salad, it will ad a nice crunch, and is also traditionally served with chili powder sprinkled on it!.

Think about tomato thats a fruit and that is fantastic with heat!.

Yes, you could mix chillies, tamarind and palm sugars and heat them up in the pan!. When cool down, pour on top of your fruits along with some chopped peanuts!.
