Cheese.............?!
I have just put a pasta bake (tuna & sweetcorn) in the oven and now discovered I don't have any cheese for the top! I only have Dairylea cheese slices!. Could I use them instead or would it be better without!? Thanks!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have used these before when I have no cheddar cheese left and it has turned out yummy! It will be fine!. Just tear them into strips and lay over pasta bake till melted then stir through!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Dairylea is too processed to handle oven heat,it'll burn and go hard rather than melt and bubble-I've tried it:-( Some finely crushed crisps(chips in US speak) or some bread crumbs with a drizzle of olive oil over will give you a nice gratin style topping,If you have none of those even some butter dotted over the top will stop the pasta going hard_ good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com
Yes you can use them - but they are far inferior to what you should use!.
Depends who you are dishing up to & whether you want to impress (or not!)Www@FoodAQ@Com
