No, you shouldn't substitute oils for a solid fat, or vice versa!. Try using apple sauce or other fruit puree!. It'll make the cake dense, and moist!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I always use butter, but any shortening will work- vegetable oil, crisco, or margarine!. DO NOT USE OLIVE OIL!!!!! Good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
