My mom taught me years ago, to cook corn on the cob in water, put the cleaned corn in a large pot, fill with cold water to cover, add salt if you want, bring it to a boil, cover and turn off the heat!. The corn will be ready whenever you are and it will stay hot for a long time in the water and not overcook!. I always do it this way!.
On the grill!.!.!.!.!.!.!.I soak my corn, husk, silk and all, don't even open them, in cold water for 1 hour!. Throw them on the grill and just keep turning as they cook!. The husks will dry up and maybe even burn, but that's ok, the corn is safely inside steaming and if left long enough will even carmelize in spots (that's delish) The silk comes away from the corn very nicely, so don't worry about that!.
I like it both ways!. Haven't tried the mayo, chile powder and parmesan, but I've heard it's really good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Growing up in farming country, people are always boiling food to death! All you need to do with corn is drop it into boiling water, cover and let boil for 3-5 minutes! That's it!!
You want those tender little kernals to pop when you bite into them!. If you want cooked corn--open a can! The mayo, chili pdr and cheese recipe is wonderful! Herb butter is also good!.!.!.don't be afraid to try new things!. But DON'T over cook the corn!!!
Grilling corn is also good!. Wrap the corn in foil and turn often!. This WILL take about 20-30 minutes depending on heat and size of corn!. You can actually even microwave the corn!. Pull down husk, remove silk, replace husk and microwave abt 7 minutes each cob!., I prefer it grilled or boiled myself!. I usually boil them though---I'm in a hurry to eat fresh, sweet corn!Www@FoodAQ@Com

If its fresh corn on the cob, make sure you clean it real good!. I always put it in a pot with the water before the water boils!. Lots of people say just 10 mins is enough but I like mine really tender so I boil it until its tender, like 15 or 20 mins!. I've never had those ingredients you mentioned on corn on the cob before!. I personally like it much better boiled than on the grill!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
I gave up boiling corn on the cob years ago!. I put my cleaned corn in a 8x8 baking dish and add 1/4" water, cover tightly with plastic wrap and microwave on high for 10-12 minutes depending on microwave power!. The corn is done wonderfully and since it is "steamed" the nutrients stay in the corn, not in the boiling water!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
Bring water to a rolling boil, add 1 tsp of sugar (no salt), add corn and continue to boil for 3 minutes!. Remove from heat and allow to sit for an additional 10 minutes!.
I like it both grilled and boiled!. I've eaten it with mayo in a salad!. Chili powder is a nice addition!. Never tried it with Parmesan, but why not give it a whirl!. Can't hurt!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Remove husks and silk!. Lower cobs in to enough boiling water to just cover them!. Boil for 3-5 minutes with lid off, or on but askew to let out steam and prevent water from boiling over!. You can also wrap cobs in foil and grill over hot coals in or 475 degree oven for 20-25 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Purchase a steamer bag and toss the corn in the microwave for about 8 minutes!. The bag locks in all the natural flavors and is very healthy and more importantly very fast!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
