When you cook spaghetti?!

Question: When you cook spaghetti!?
Do you break the spaghetti in half before you cook it or just put them in the water full length!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
Full length is the true Italian way!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If you like twirling the pasta and getting heaps on your fork then leave them the way they are!. But if you hate doing that you can always break them in half!. also it depends on the size of your pot!. The one we have fits them in without needing to break them but if you have a smaller pot you may want to break it so they all go in!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Bring your salted water to a rolling boil!. Either place full length spaghetti in the pot or break in half -it's up to your preference on eating long spaghetti or shorter!. It has no bearing on cooking!. When sticking out the pot in a matter of a minute it will have softened up and will all be immersed!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Just take the speggheti and put half in the water and twirl it around the pot untill all FULL LENTH spegghetti is in it!!!

you know what i mean!?

Hold it like a pencil(the speggehitt) and just work it in by circiling the pan, so you dont have to break in halfWww@FoodAQ@Com

you should put it in whole, and when it is soggy from the boiled water, remember to stir it or eventually left untouched the sphaghetti will sick together!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Definately break them in half!.
Much better!.
When you put them in whole, the top sticks out of the water to long, causing an uneven cook!.

( also add some oil to the water to prevent sticking)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Both, depends on what kind of mood I'm in!. Sometimes I don't feel like slurping up all my spaghetti so I break it in half, but leaving them whole is the more traditionally italian way!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

depends on how big y our pan is, and how much water you put in it!. and how long you like your noodles!. it doesnt matter!. i usually break them because our pans arent big enough!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I put it in full length, I have an oval pot so it fits real well!. If you don't have a large enough pot just stir it until it softens enough to fit!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't, I just have enough water that it goes in and if the ends peak out just stirr it for a little bit so its able to all be covered with water!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Mark,

Never break the pasta!. put it in the pot and stir and eventually it all will melt down and continute to stirWww@FoodAQ@Com

Well if your pot isnt big enough you should break them in half but if you have a big pot you don't have to

Best answer!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I break it up if the for the kiddies!. Before i had the kiddies I put them in full length!. They cook the same either way!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Stand it up in the pot, it slides down as it softens!. No need to break it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The traditional way is to leave them in full length!.!. But since my Dad always broke them in half, I do the same!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
