I am a former chef and a type 2 diabetic myself and for me I use only Splenda or real maple syrup for sweetening, it is on the Canadian Diabetic Healths Cookbook items list, you can make a syrup with the one version of Splenda and add a bit of maple flavour, or make a simple syrup with the Splenda and half real maple syrup to tone it down, for a type 1 insulin dependent, I would do the later, and cooking Splenda is a sugar replacement and can be used exactly the same way as sugar only no calories and no glucide issues!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I don't believe Bisquick has sugar in it!.!.!.!. just top pancakes w/ fresh fruit instead of sugarless syrup!. Will taste MUCH better anyway!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
