The proper way is to grill fry it and chop it with a couple spatulas in fine bits!. You can obviously just use a large frying pan to achieve this!. Adding in peppers and onions (in philly this is referred to as wid or wid out) is optional, it's best to pre-sautee these prior to cooking meat then add in towards the end of cooking!. Swiss is an odd choice for cheese, here it's usually american, cheddar or (god forbid in my humble opinion) cheese whiz!. The bread should be okay, but techincally what makes a philly steak a philly steak is using Amoroso steak rolls!. When your meat's done cooking scrape it together into a long pile in the pan add your cheese ontop then lay your sliced roll ontop of that to get everything nice and gooey!. The scoop it all up into the roll and enjoy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

fry the steaks quickly using the sides of spatulas to chop up the meat - only take 2 minutes
then while meat is in pan add fried onion or peppers or mushrooms (if using) then top with your cheese!. when cheese melts, cut loaf of bread in half and throw it on top of the food!. scoop up with spatuala and enjoy!.!.

I cook the meat with peppers and onions, and Ajus!. Then serve on hot rolls!. That is how I make mine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
