Question: Vinager when jarring salsa!? I want to jar some salsa!.!.!.I thought that you could just add the salsa to the jars
and then boil the jars!.!.!.let cool so they will seal up!. But, someone told me that I have to add vinegar or lemon juice for the extra acidity to help preserve it!. Is this true!.!.!.if so!.!.how much vinegar do I need to add!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Usually when canning you put the stuff in the jar then cook the whole jar in a pressure cooker!.

Tomatoes are pretty acidic on there own!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No vinegar, but add a little lime juice to your salsa anyway for flavor, it will all work out in the end!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
