Yes! I have had difficulty finding bear hamburg but when I do I use the following recipe!.!.!.!.

As you know bear meat is slightly gamey which means that its flavors are enhanced by subtle sweetness!.

So here is the recipe:

Pooh Burgers
Ingredients:
1 kg Bear meat, ground
6 Vidalia Onions (they are in season!)
2Tbsps Cumin
2 hot peppers
3 cloves garlic
3 tbsp paprika
200 grams brie
1/4 cup honey

To taste:
salt, pepper

Directions:
Finely chop onions, peppers, and garlic and add them to a bowl with bear meat!. Add cumin and paprika!. Mix well!. Fashion mixture into a pattie style/size of your liking!.
Cook burgers to medium or more on a grill or in a frying pan!.(Bear meat is safer than pork but it is best not to eat bear meat that has not been heated to 160F or more)!.
During the final stages of cooking place hearty slices of brie on top of the burgers!. Drizzle honey on top on the brie!. Add burgers to toasted buns of your choice!. Enjoy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Kathy,
For any recipe you use for bear hamburger meat, make CERTAIN that it is fully cooked as bear is a carrier of trichinosis!. More people get it from bear than from pork!.
It MUST be cooked to 180 degrees!.

You can use bear as in any hamburger recipe, but it usually is not a fatty as beef hamburger!.
