Mashed potatoes using dry powdered milk?!


Question: Mashed potatoes using dry powdered milk!?
i need to know if it will taste ok, if i mix up some dry powder milk and use it to make instant mashed potatoes instead of using regular milk!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

you dont have to use milk at all!.!.!.!.
i never use milk!. i use 1 raw egg per lb, (holds the potatoes together and gives it a creamy finish)
and butter or margarine!.!.!.!.!.
when you cook you potatoes, drain them well, put back in the pan over low heat, add 1 egg per lb of potatos, butter, and mash with a a mixer or by hand, the eggs will cook through with the hot potatoesWww@FoodAQ@Com

Another idea would be to use plain yogurt or sour cream for a little tasty difference!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It will work if you add more butter than you usually do, because powder milk has no butter fat in it!. AprilWww@FoodAQ@Com

They are instant so they don't need non fat milk, I would use just butter!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
