Does anyone know a substitute for glycerine when making sugarpaste? Or can it be made ok without it?!

Question: Does anyone know a substitute for glycerine when making sugarpaste!? Or can it be made ok without it!?
Answers:
Depending on your recipe, you might be able to get by without it!. I make fondant (sugarpaste) with marshmallows and only need to add glycerine if I end up with a batch that wants to dry out and crack up!.

Glycerine isn't expensive, and if you can't find it at a cake supply shop, you can find it at a pharmacy or health food store!. It's good for thinning paste colors if they've started to dry out too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
