Make sure you marinade them in a nice marinade for at least 30 min to an hour!. You can use those preseasoned marinades or make your own making sure to use buttermilk (for chicken and pork) or vinegar!. These help to break down the proteins alittle so it won't have that grainy texture!. i like infused vinegars!. Only a little tho and stay away from powdered meat tenderizer!. It dosen't penetrate the meat enough!. Use plenty of liquid in your slow cooker!. I find that if you flip the meat half way thru cooking that it allows juices to get all the way in the meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No do you mean "meat" as in sausage link and slow cooker as in "oven"!. If your "meat is cumming out "grainy" then maybe you should clean your "easy bake oven" a little bit more often!. You want the meat hard until the "sauce" comes out and then the "meat" gets soft!. I don't know about you but maybe its a personal issue that needs to be resolved in the bedroom and not the kitchen!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i have never had that problem-do you add some liquid to the slow cooker!?- either water or some type of sauce, enough to almost cover-and then turn it on low, and simmer all day- the meat should be so tender you can cut with your fork-i also make swiss steak in the slow cooker, the sauce is crushed tomatoes, and all the veggies- again, the meat comes out fine!.i think maybe you arent adding enough liquid!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

The trick is to sear it first to keep in the juices!. All slow cooked meats need this done to them!. Just get a pan on the stove, cook each side of the meat for 1-2 mintues (that's for like a 1kg piece of beef) then put in your slow cooker!. It basically creates a 'shell' to keep the fluids inside the meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cook on low for longer time instead of high for shorter time!.

Thinking about upping your liquids, maybe add a little extra broth to the pot!.

also, put the meat in first, and pile everything on top of it to keep it moist!. Food should come out very moist from the slow cooker!.

Good luck!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Make sure you put plenty of liquid and DO NOT open the lid until the meat is done!. Then take the lid off and let the juices thicken if you like!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

marinade with honey in it before hand!. The honey will help the marinade to stick to the meat!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My Dad's trick is to freeze the meat first before you cook it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
