Peppermint extract in oven?!

Question: Peppermint extract in oven!?
I have a random question!. On my bottle of peppermint extract, it says not to pour it near a flame because it's flammable, but would it be okay to put into cookie dough and then bake in the oven!? I doubt they would burst into flames, but would they burn!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
its okay as long as you dont pour it near an open flame, mixed in the cake, youre coolWww@FoodAQ@Com

No, the cookies wouldn't burn, any alcohol in it would be mixed the dough and cooks out, just the favor remains!. It would be like using vanilla extract in baking!. As long as the cookies are cooked in the correct temperature and the specified time, it should be fine!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Extracts have alcohol, with is why it can ignite near a flame!. Mixing it in with something and baking it is safe!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

It has a warning on the bottle because extracts are made with alcohol!.!.!. that's why its flammable!. But you'll be absolutely safe baking it in cookies! Have fun :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

ahahaha that would be sooo cool if it explodedWww@FoodAQ@Com
