I'm thinking you don't want to make your own fresh mozzarella cheese, but want to know how to us some that you purchased!. Fresh mozz is wonderful !.!.!. one of my favorite foods!. It's really better uncooked!. It gets dried out and a little rubbery when cooked, and it loses most of the delicate, fresh flavor and texture that makes it so yummy!.
My favorite thing to do with it is slice it along with really good tomatoes!. Drizzle with garlicky olive oil and fresh basil!. (dried is okay if you don't have fresh)!. Crush a clove of garlic into a bowl!. Sprinkle in some salt then take the back of a spoon and grind the garlic and the salt together!. Drizzle in some olive oil!. Add a pinch of crushed red pepper if you like!. If you are using dried basil, add a pinch now!. Let it sit for at least a few minutes, up to a few hours!. Drizzle that on your mozz and tomatoes!. Tear basil leaves and sprinkle on!. Some people add balsamic vinegar to this dish, but I think that overwhelms the flavor!. A sprinkle of salt is enough to give it a little extra pop!.
I also like to eat fresh mozz all on its own, or dipped in a little garlicy olive oil!. Maybe nibble a few olives on the side!. A nice glass of wine!. Yum! You can also add it to pasta salads or slice it on top of green salads!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
