How do you get cookies to stay soft?!

Question: How do you get cookies to stay soft!?
When I buy storebought cookies they are nice and soft, even the kind from the grocery bakery, fresh baked!. But if I do them at home out of a tube of cookie dough or even from scratch, on my pizza stone which heats nice and evenly and doesn't burn the bottoms, the cookies are soft when they come out of the oven but the next day they are hard as a rock!? How do you keep them soft, or what do you put in them to make them bake up that way!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:

1!.well first what you have to do is when the cookies are done hurry and put foil on top of them

2!.then in 5 minutes take off the foil but it might still be HOT and replace with plastic wrap

M3!.for better results follow step one then wrap each cookie in plastic wrap
