Do pickles have lime in them?!

no they do not,pickles are traditionally a fermented cucumber,in a brine of water,salt,dill ,garlic!.!.vinegar should be the least amount of liquid added,of course this is a traditional method passed down to me!.!.there are thousands of variations!.!.
but if you ravel to india and other countries i,m sure they have a pickle you,ve never heard of that would include lime!.maybe kaffir lime leaves too!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

in india you have varieties of pickles!.like the lime,mango,mixed vegetables,fish ,prawn,mutton,tomato,ginger,etc!. generally lime or salt is added in pickles as preservatives for longer life of the picklesWww@FoodAQ@Com

They sure do taste like it, but there is a such thing as a "lime pickle"!. I think u have to make it though!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
