Baked Garlic - how to do it?!

Question: Baked Garlic - how to do it!?
A restaurant I used to love going to served baked garlic with large chunks or crustry bread and salted butter!.

The garlic is cooked as a full bulb, I think with just the top sliced off so the tip of each clove is exposed!.

I want to try doing this at home, is it as simple as just slicing the top off the bulb, then drizzling with olive oil!? I think I have seen that you can add some rosemary too, then back for about an hour!? Is there anything else I can do!?

Im also dieting at the moment, so try try and make it healthier to have!. The garlic and olive oil im sure is good, perhaps then serve it with some wholemeal pitta or granary bread without the butter!?

If anyone has tried this or has suggestions I would love to hear from you!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
I just learned how to do this myself!

-Peel off as much of the paper as you can
-Cut the heads off all cloves
-Drizzle with olive oil (you can also use water)
-Wrap in tinfoil (optional, I think it speeds up cooking time)
-Bake at 450 for about an hour

And you're good to go!
I like to do roast garlic, make a paste out of it and smear it all over a whole chicken before roasting!. It tastes amazing!Www@FoodAQ@Com

INGREDIENTS
1 medium head garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil

DIRECTIONS
Method 1: Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (125 degrees C)!. Slice 1/4 inch off top of garlic bulb!. Place in a small baking dish and drizzle with olive oil!. Bake in preheated oven for 20-45 minutes, until outside is lightly browned and garlic cloves are soft!. When cool enough to touch, squeeze each clove to extract softened garlic!.
Method 2: Preheat oven to 250 degrees F (125 degrees C)!. Peel each garlic clove!. Place in a single layer in a small baking dish and drizzle with olive oil!. Bake for 15 minutes, until garlic is soft!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Peel off the really loose papery skin of a head of garlic, leaving the tight skin holding the cloves together!.
Cut off the top, exposing the cloves!.
Sprinkle with salt, and coat with olive oil!.
Wrap in aluminum foil and roast in a baking dish at 300o for about 30 minutes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

as you described but with wet garlic bulbsWww@FoodAQ@Com
