Not too much exercise and not on a hard core diet!?

I think you need a lifestyle change and not a diet, which takes a little longer to adjust to!. Start slow, because any progress like this takes time, just like your body will need to recover and become stronger from your surgery!. One step, every week will train your body and mind into a lifestyle change!. Start with some cardiovascular exercises and less sugar intake for the first week!. Then, go to light weights in repetitions combined with some cardio work outs and replace some veggies for your starch dishes at dinner!. Once your body gets used to these little changes, then you can push yourself a bit!. I wish you could do this quickly, but I seriously wouldn't rush your body right after this surgery, that's a concern for me and you, I'm sure!. If you can't do the exercises right not, then limit your sugar intake, cut the starches, portion control everything that you eat, don't eat at night and keep busy!
