What to cook with a microwave and a hotplate?!

Question: What to cook with a microwave and a hotplate!?
I'm gonna stay in a university hostel and they only allow me to use a microwave and a hotplate!. I hear the food courts nearby are kinda bad, so is there anything I can cook using only these two!? Besides pasta and cup noodles, and preferably something that can be eaten with rice!. Thanks a lot :)Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
You can cook marvellous curries on a hotplate or stirfry chicken and vegetables and add a sauce, - these will cook in a wok on the hotplate and you can cook the rice in the microwave (a mug of rice is 2 good servings - put in a large bowl with 3 mugs water and microwave about 15-20 mins until rice has absorbed water)!.
If you buy a slow cooker you can cook chilli, stews, curry, etc while you are studying all day anf come back to a cooked meal!. You can put potatoes in the pot or cook rice etc separately!.
Pittabread microwaved for a minute or so until they puff also make a good quick substiture for pasta, rice or potatoes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
