Where do you keep your bread?!

Question: Where do you keep your bread!?
If I put bread in the cabinets, it gets green and disgusting very quickly!. If I put it on top of the fridge, it somehow gets wet!. Our only counter space available is on top of the dishwasher, where it gets hot and makes the bread go stale quickly!. Where can I put my bread to keep it fresh!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

Answers:
We keep ours in the freezer!.

It doesn't take long to thaw out and it doesn't get soggy either!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I keep it in the freezer!. It got wet spots and dry spots when I tried the fridge, but if I put it in the freezer in the original bag, it's just like fresh bread when I use it!. I take the number of slices out of the freezer I'll be needing and let them defrost in a zip bag on the counter!. For toast, I put it in the toaster when it's still frozen!. For grilled cheese sandwiches, I also use it frozen!. It thaws very fast as I'm browning the first side!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I make my own bread
I keep it in a (Tuperware) plastic container with a half fresh carrot in the box (keeps the bread from drying up)
Fresh bread gets stale faster if you refrigerate it!.
In summer weather, bread goes bad faster than in cooler weather!.
Dont keep it on top of a hot surface!. (Dont keep any food on top of a hot surface)Www@FoodAQ@Com

well i keep my bread in a miniature pantry by the fridge!. its a confined space so it keeps it fresh!.is you cabnets moist or humid!. that'll make it go bad really quickly!. this might sound weird, but you can also keep it in the fridge it will stay good a lot longer then just pop it in the toaster or microwave real quick!. well hope this helped!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The top of your refrigerator is warmer than your counters, since the warm air comes up from the coils in back (it's a good place to rise bread DOUGH though) !.!.!.!.!.!.!. I put it on the counter for a day or 2 (because I like it softer); then put it into the refrigerator so it won't mold!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I keep mine on the counter top, but my grandmother has and always will put hers in the microwave!. She claims that it locks in freshness!. Of course, whenever she needs to use the microwave she has to take the bread out, but as soon as she'd one using the microwave, the bread gets put back in there!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I keep the bread in its packaging and on a table in the living room!. To keep the bread fresh, do not place it in humid place as this will promote bacterial and fungus growth!. Instead place in a cool dry place that is airy such as in the living room!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

We keep ours in the meat/cheese drawer!. Some fridges have a humidity control for this drawer, it keeps fresh and dry!. You could try moving it from the bag to a container!.!.!. Of course, we live in the desert, so maybe that's why ours is never wet!.!.!. HmmWww@FoodAQ@Com
