How much is in a box of brown sugar?!
I have a recipe that calls for a box of brown sugar, I have a 2lb bag and not a clue as to how much is in a box!. Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

I love recipes from 80 year old ladies and other family members!. Those are some of my very favorite ones!.
I guess it could vary, but when my family members have one box of brown sugar in a recipe, they are talking about the 16 oz or 1 pound box!.
The bags are newer!. Generally the cost is better!. Just eyeball half on that!. You should be fine!.
I have many recipes that say things like butter the size of an egg, pinch of this, and to taste!. It takes some work to figure it out and get it right, but it's worth it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I believe a box is a pound, but why not just call the grocery store, get a lacky on the line, and ask him/her to check for you!. It'll be one of the more interesting calls they get today! :)Www@FoodAQ@Com
