If I'm cooking lamb, first of all I will stab it all over and put thin slices of garlic into the holes!. about 4 cloves of garlic for one leg of lamb is enough!. This also goes really nicely with chicken!.
Must have parsnips roasted with olive oil and honey/maple syrup!.
And the potatoes are fantastic if you boil them for about 5 mins, drain well and then roast in with the meat and all of its scrummy roasty meaty juices!.
For pudding you cant beat a good fruit crumble and custard!. Rhubarb or plum are my favourites!.
Enjoy! I'm a bit jealous coz we aren't having a roast tonight!. I dont know what I'm cooking yet but it wont be as good as a roast!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Cooking it slowly!. I always have shallots, parsnips and tomatoes cooking with the juices of the beef!. Roast potatoes cooked with goose fat and a rich thick gravy made with beef juice and red wine!. Not forgetting steamed veg - broccoli - sprouts and caramelised carrots!. I'm hungry now !Www@FoodAQ@Com

Mmmmmmm well for me a Sunday roast doesn't just come on a Sunday!.!.!.any-day roast!.!.but like the other guys seem to say its purely the attention to your preferences!.!.good accompleaments , a real home-made thick gravy,crispy roast pots,what-ever seasonal British vegetables that u enjoy!.!.!.!.and for me cauliflower cheese!.!.!.yummmmm yummm!.!. oh yeah roast oak-ham chick chick for me today!.!.!.and you!?!?!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

POT ROAST
Your choice of beef or pork (to fit crock-pot)
1 pkg!. dry Ranch dressing mix
1 pkg!. dry Italian dressing mix
1 pkg!. dry Brown Gravy mix
1 cup water
Put beef in pot!.
Mix together all the dry mixes…!.then add water …pour over meat and cover & cook on high 4-6 hours!.
Until meat is tender!.
The first time I mad it I didn’t have the Italian Dressing mix…!.so I added a pkg!. of Onion Soup Mix…!.I have to say I liked that better!.
If you use more water you might want to add more Brown Gravy mix…!.to make a thicker sauce!. Was gonna add
potatoes and carrots…but never got around to it!.

My home made seasond rolled roast!.We live on a cattle station and butcher our own meat!.I make my own rolled roast with what ever stuffing takes my facy when we are doing the meat!.never had any complaints or any left on the plate(i also cook for the staff) plus my family being there as well as good company make it even betterWww@FoodAQ@Com

a pepsi pot roast- use 1 can of mushroom soup, 1 envelope of dry onion soup mix , and a can of Pepsi!. mix all together and put over your roast and potatoes,carrots, and onion!. cover and bake in oven at 350 -Www@FoodAQ@Com

my cousin came up with a recipe where you dump a bottle of shiner bock beer into the pot - pretty dang good AND you get to drink the other five beers!.!.!.
