Norwegian pancakes, sort of a common man's crepe!. Whole eggs and whole milk!. Can't make them with eggbeaters and skim milk without adding a bit of oil!. Crack eggs into a bowl, one to 1 1/2 per person!. Slosh them around and start mixing in flour until it's pretty thick, like almost a lump!. Mix in milk until it gets soupy!. Needs to pour easily, but with a little body left!. Make it thinner for thinner pancakes because if you try making them a bit thicker with batter too thin, they take forever to cook!. Toward the end, you mix with a ladle, lifting a ladleful and pouring it back into the batter until it looks right!. You'll learn!. Then heat a regular size frying pan or two on the stove and add butter!. Ladle in some batter and slide it around until it coats the bottom of the pan!. Flip and cook the other side!. The first one doesn't get done right, although it's perfectly good to eat!. It helps heat the pan up!. From then on it's a dab of butter, ladle in enough batter, slide it around, cook, flip, finish cooking, fold in quarters and put on a handy plate, another dab of butter!.!.!.

As a breakfast or lunch food, add syrup, jelly or sprinkle sugar on!. Roll it up!. For kids, unfold on the plate, put jelly or syrup on and let them cut faces in them!. For dinner, you could roll them around a vegetable or meat filling!. Even canned stew!. They're very versatile!.

Sorry; we never use a recipe!. This is a great dish to learn how to throw something together without measuring!. It's good for the soul!. Builds character!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

quesadilla: you need uncooked tortillas and shredded cheese!. just cook the tortillas on a griddle and melt the cheese in the middle!. yummy with salsa and sour cream! i live on these things and you can make it in less than a minute!.

grilled cheese! classic and delicious!. add tomatoes or ham to change it up!

tuna melt: toast a bagel but only a little!.!. put tuna (out of can is fine) on top and top with a piece of swiss cheese!. put the whole thing in a toaster oven until the cheese is melted!.

my mom and i love this one: boil penne pasta!. while its cooking, in a hot pan with olive oil, sautee asparagus thats been cut into 1!.5 to 2 inch pieces!. also brown some crumbled sausage for a bite if you want!. drain the pasta and combine with the asparagus/sausage!. top with parmesan cheese! mmmm delicious!

THIS is amazing!. the hardest thing to do is grate cheese haha!. i make it before my mom has parties or if we have to make a dish for a potluck and i alwaysss bring home an empty dish! serve it with a cut up french baguette http://allrecipes!.com/Recipe/Chicken-Art!.!.!.

Episode: Peas and Broad Beans
This is a fantastic recipe that completely celebrates everything I love about peas!. Even though they only make an appearance right at the end, it's a star performance!. I like to serve a pile of unshelled peas in the middle of the table so that everyone gets to shell some over their own plate!. It's also an incredibly fast recipe - you can be sitting down to eat within a minute of the pasta being done!. The key to getting it right, though, is to buy really good-quality sausages
For the meatballs:
Olive oil
8 good-quality pork sausages
1 pound spaghetti
Sea salt
A few sprigs fresh marjoram, thyme or rosemary, leaves picked
11 ounces fresh peas, in their pods
1 block Parmesan, to serve
For the tomato sauce:
Olive oil
2 cloves garlic, peeled and finely sliced
1 small bunch fresh basil, leaves picked, stalks finely chopped
2 (14-ounce) cans good-quality plum tomatoes
Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper
Good quality balsamic vinegar

Heat a large saucepan and add a few glugs of olive oil!. Snip the sausages apart, then squeeze and pinch the meat out of the skins so that you get little meatball shapes - don't make them too big or they will take too long to cook!. Try to get at least 3 balls out of each sausage!. Don't worry about rolling them into perfect balls and making them look all fancy - rough and rustic is good! Put them into your pan!. Keep frying and turning the meatballs until they're golden brown and cooked through!.
Meanwhile, put the spaghetti into a large pan of salted boiling water and cook according to the package instructions until al dente!.

To make your tomato sauce, heat a separate pan and pour in some olive oil!. Add the garlic and the chopped basil stalks and move them around the pan for a couple of minutes!. Put some small basil leaves aside for later, and sprinkle the rest into the pan!. Add the tomatoes and season carefully with salt and pepper, to taste!. Bring to a simmer, break up your tomatoes a bit more with a spoon and add a swig of balsamic vinegar - it's lovely for adding sweetness to the sauce!.

Add the herbs to the pan of sausage meatballs, tossing everything in all the lovely flavors!. Cook for around 30 seconds!. When your spaghetti is cooked, drain it and divide the pasta and meatballs between 4 bowls!. Spoon over the tomato sauce!. Sprinkle over the reserved basil leaves and serve with a handful of fresh peas per person in the middle of the table, so that everyone can have a go at shelling their own, and a little Parmesan for grating or shaving over the top!.
