Help making non-stick pans non-stick again?!

Question: Help making non-stick pans non-stick again!?
I currently have a set of calaphonle non-stick pots/pans!. They are about 10-12 yrs old and are constantly sticking!. What can i do to make them non-stick again!? (they do not go in the dishwasher at all and i only use a soft sponge to clean them, nothing rough)
What can i do!?

Hate to say this but I think you may need some new ones if they are that old!. But you can try heating oil (olive) until it starts to smoke!. Add kosher salt to the pan!. Take a heavy duty rubber spatula and push the salt around with a little force but not grinding!. Once it starts to smoke again, dump the oil and salt out!. Take a soft cloth and wipe it out!. Try to fry an egg in the pan to see it worked!. Good Luck!!Www@FoodAQ@Com

Are they teflon coated on anodized aluminum!?

Note---you cannot "season" teflon or anodized aluminum!.

First, try boiling water in your pans!. Sounds like it is too simple, but you'd be surprised how effective it is!.

Purchase a can of Cameo cleanser (it can be used on teflon and anodized aluminum)

If you use Pam spray, don't use it anymore---it leaves a sticky residue that makes food stick!.

If boiling doesn't work, try scrubbing with Cameo!.

If your teflon is intact (not peeling or scratched), you should be able to clean it up!. Anodized aluminum needs intensive cleaning at least annually to keep the low stick qualities!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

re season them and they should last a while longer!.

I have pots and pans in my kitchen that were inherited from my grandmothers and great grandmothers!!
10 to 12 years is nothing in the life of a stainless steel or cast iron kettle or pan!.

All my best ones are the cast iron over 100 yrs old!! Easiest to keep seasoned!. New cast iron is not easy to buff and season!! it is a bit rough rather than polished!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Time to replace them!. Sorry!.

Get some cast iron skillets and take good care of them!. You'll have great pans!. Learn to use good stainless saucepans!. Or if you prefer, hard anodized aluminum!.

I don't like non-stick because they don't stay non-stick forever!. I feel your pain!. I learned this one the same way you are!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

i personally wouldn`t buy any non stick pans!.!.!.!. i bought cast iron they are the true 100% non stick if you treat them right!.!. and you can use them any where!.!. the stovetop, campfire and oven!.!.and they last a lifetime!.!. never again do i have to purchase another cooking vessel!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I think it's just time to throw them out and buy new ones!. If they are 10-12 years old, I would say that they have gotten about all the use out of them that they are going to!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

If a Pam spray does not work, throw them out!. Things do wear out!. Old Teflon can be dangerous to your health!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
