Hi,
you can, but it will add crunchies (even if you have the ultimate blender it won't completely pulverize the ice, and completely pulverized ice is basically water just waiting to happen) and then they will melt!. it will be MUCH better with just the ice cream and whatever else!.
you may have seen someone making a smoothie which often or usually uses ice cubes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

well if im making fruit milk shakes, i freeze the fruit!.!. I am always freezing bits and peices of left over bananas, apples, peaches etc just to use in smoothies and milk shakes!.!.!.!. and they make it sossssssss thick
but if im making a chocolate milk shake where nothing is frozen to add!.!. I do add ice cubes!.!. but I also add a spoon full of coffee creamer which makes the taste a bit richer!.!.!. !.!. but if I have ice cream!.!. no need!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

No, you can put it on the side of the glass to cool it if you have a container, but it would dilute the taste, making it watery and not so good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yea you can do it if you want the milkshake to be thicker but you dont have to!.!. it will just be thinner, and no it wont **** up your blender! =)Www@FoodAQ@Com
