Answers:
Drop them in boiling water!. Cook, covered, until fork-tender (or about 20-30 minutes)!. Drain potatoes!. Slice or chop when still warm (but not HOT and not COLD)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Put them in a pot and cover with water!. Salt the water and then put it on to boil!. No need to stab them first!. When I boil potatoes I never drop them in boiling water!.!.!.neither does my mom, grandma, aunt or anyone I learned to cook from!.
Boil until you can stick a fork or knife into one and it feels tender all the way to the center!. This will probably be 10-15 minutes!. Drain the water and let them cool until you can handle them without being burned, then cut them up!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

cold water is fine, bring to boil!. Depending on how large or small you cut them will determine when they are done!. If you have a small salad fork or knife, you can test them for doneness!. You should be able to easily pierce them without hem falling apart!. They will cook a little after you drain the water from them as they cool!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

either way, yes, till softWww@FoodAQ@Com
