Beer Steak

INGREDIENTS

2 (16 ounce) beef sirloin steaks
1/4 cup dark beer
2 tablespoons teriyaki sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

DIRECTIONS
Preheat grill for high heat!.
Use a fork to poke holes all over the surface of the steaks, and place steaks in a large baking dish!. In a bowl, mix together beer, teriyaki sauce, and brown sugar!. Pour sauce over steaks, and let sit about 5 minutes!. Sprinkle with 1/2 the seasoned salt, pepper, and garlic powder; set aside for 10 minutes!. Turn steaks over, sprinkle with remaining seasoned salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and continue marinating for 10 more minutes!.
Remove steaks from marinade!. Pour marinade into a small saucepan, bring to a boil, and cook for several minutes!.
Lightly oil the grill grate!. Grill steaks for 7 minutes per side, or to desired doneness!. During the last few minutes of grilling, baste steaks with boiled marinade to enhance the flavor and ensure juiciness!.

Gotta love blue cheese with beef!

New York Steak with Blue Cheese Butter

For the butter:
4-tbsp butter, softened
2-oz (about 1/3 cup) crumbled blue cheese, such as Roquefort
1/4-tsp garlic powder
1/4-tsp freshly ground black pepper

4- New York strip steaks, about 3/4 pound each and 1 inch thick
Extra-virgin olive oil
Salt
Freshly ground black pepper


In a small bowl combine all the butter ingredients
Mash the butter mixture together with the back of a fork until evenly distributed

Allow the steaks to stand at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes before grilling
Lightly brush both sides of the steaks with olive oil
Season with salt and pepper to taste
Grill over direct high heat until the internal temperature reaches 145°F for medium rare, 8 to 10 minutes, turning once halfway through grilling time
Remove from the grill and smear the butter mixture over the top of the warm steaks
Tent with aluminum foil for 5 minutes, allowing the butter to melt

For every 1kilogram of meat, use this mixture:

6 tablespoons of black soy sauce
3 tablespoons of lime or lemon (whichever is available)
3 tablespoons of habanero sauce (or any green pepper hot sauce)
2 tablespoons of 7-UP
1 tablespoon of tomato catsup
1/2 teaspoon of rock salt
1/2 teaspoon of fine ground black pepper

Mix everything in a bowl!.!.!. when everything is dissolved (especially the rock salt), add the meat!. Make sure that the meat gets fully-covered/coated by the mixture!. Put in the fridge overnight (DO NOT PUT IN FREEZER)!.

Grill or charbroil !.!.!.!. best if cooked MEDIUM RARE, but also good if eaten WELL DONE!.

Serve with mixed corn, green peas and carrots cooked with butter!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ingredients (serves 1)
170g oven fries
2 teaspoons olive oil
140g piece beef fillet steak
20g butter
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon brandy, optional
1/4 cup light thickened cream
1 tablespoon fresh flat-leaf parsley, finely chopped
Method
Preheat oven to 200°C!. Place oven fries onto a baking tray!. Cook, following packet directions, until golden and tender!.
Heat oil in a small, non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat!. Season beef with salt and pepper!. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes each side for medium or until cooked to your liking!. Remove steak to a plate!. Cover with foil to keep warm!.
Reduce heat to medium!. Add butter to frying pan!. Stir until melted!. Add Worcestershire sauce, brandy, cream, parsley, and salt and pepper to frying pan!. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes, stirring, or until sauce just comes to the boil!.
Place steak onto serving plate!. Spoon over sauce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

A can of Guinness, some steak seasoning spices (any supermarket has some) sliced garlic and onion over the top and if you want just a dash of cayenne pepper for slight heat!. Grill it up and serve with A1 for tang!.
