my mom gave me some beef & i don't really have much around the house so i was thinking of just putting it in the crockpot with some spices & cream of mushroom soup!.!.!.

yes, that should be fine, but never cook it when it's frozen, i made the mistake of doing this once, and it turned out to be fine on the outside, but disgustingly frozen and basically raw on the inside! ugh!Www@FoodAQ@Com
I have often put beef in the crock pot frozen!. Just takes longer to cook but it worked out just fine!. Spices and the soup are a good idea, I have also done that but also added a can of beef broth or 2 cups of water with two beef boullion cubes!. And then thickened the broth with a little flour and water in the end!. also, if you have an onion or two that tastes great cooked in it too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
You can throw it in frozen and it will taste fine - serve it over rice or noodles and it will be almost like having Beef Stroganoff!. If you have any canned, drained, or frozen corn, peas or mixed veggies, throw them in as well and that will extend you meal plus make it more complete!.

IF YOU DON'T HAVE FRESH YOU CAN USED CANNED, THE JUICE FROM THE CANNED WILL HELP IN THE COOKING PROCESS!.
IF YOU ARE USING FRESH VEGGIES OR FROZEN MAKE SURE TO ADD ENOUGH WATER TO BARLEY COVER THE BEEF AND VEGGIES!.
USE SPICES

thaw it!. it wont cook evenly with the rest of the food you're cooking!. toss the whole lump into the micro for 15 minutes at least, then break it up and feel in the centre if its room temp you're ok to cook it!. if its still icy cold toss it in for a further 5 minutesWww@FoodAQ@Com

You want to defrost it and brown it up a little to help develop some flavor!. Consider adding some mushrooms or frozen vegetables!. Then serve it over some rice or noodles!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
