Wow, thats alot of radishes,I saw Rachel Ray slice and fry them in butter,my sister tried it and said that they were pretty good!. I would imagine that you could add onions to the fry if you wanted to!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Radish Top Soup

INGREDIENTS
2 tablespoons butter
1 large onion, diced
2 medium potatoes, sliced
4 cups raw radish greens
4 cups chicken broth
1/3 cup heavy cream
5 radishes, sliced

DIRECTIONS
Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat!. Stir in the onion, and saute until tender!. Mix in the potatoes and radish greens, coating them with the butter!. Pour in chicken broth!. Bring the mixture to a boil!. Reduce heat, and simmer 30 minutes!.

Allow the soup mixture to cool slightly, and transfer to a blender!. Blend until smooth!.

Return the mixture to the saucepan!. Mix in the heavy cream!. Cook and stir until well blended!. Serve with radish slices!.

Steamed Radishes

INGREDIENTS
20 radishes
2 tablespoons water
1/4 cup butter

DIRECTIONS
Trim the ends off of the radishes and peel a band of radish-skin from around the middle of the radish!.

Steam the radishes in a covered microwave safe container for 8 minutes, or until fork tender!. Drain and toss with butter, serve immediately!.


South of the Border Slaw

INGREDIENTS
4 cups Cabbage, shredded
1 cup Radishes, shredded
1 medium Red, Yellow or Orange Bell Pepper, trimmed, seeded and chopped
1 small Sweet Onion, chopped
1/2 cup crushed Tortilla Chips
1/2 cup Marzetti? Slaw Dressing
1/2 cup Salsa mild, medium or hot

DIRECTIONS
In large bowl, combine Cabbage, Radishes, Pepper, Onion and Tortilla Chips; toss gently!.

In small bowl, combine Marzetti? Slaw Dressing and Salsa; mix until well blended!. Add dressing to vegetables, mix and serve!. Garnish with additional crushed Tortilla Chips!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

My husband loves sliced radishes, chopped tomatoes, and chopped green onions mixed with ranch dressing!. He said he first had it at a truck stop and now it's become a summertime salad for us!. He could eat it at every meal! LOL

They are good chopped and added to potato salad, too!

I ran across this recipe for Veggie Pizza that uses radishes!. I haven't tried it yet, but it sure looks good and has rave reviews! It's one of the first things I plan on making when I get a new food processor!.

2 (8 ounce) packages refrigerated crescent rolls
1 cup sour cream
1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon dried dill weed
1/4 teaspoon garlic salt
1 (1 ounce) package ranch dressing mix
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 stalk celery, thinly sliced
1/2 cup halved and thinly-sliced radishes
1 red bell pepper, chopped
1 1/2 cups fresh broccoli, chopped
1 carrot, grated

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)!. Spray a jellyroll pan with non-stick cooking spray!.
Pat crescent roll dough into a jellyroll pan!. Let stand 5 minutes!. Pierce with fork!.
Bake for 10 minutes, let cool!.
In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine sour cream, cream cheese, dill weed, garlic salt and ranch dip mix!. Spread this mixture on top of the cooled crust!. Arrange the onion, carrot, celery, broccoli, radish, bell pepper and broccoli on top of the creamed mixture!. Cover and let chill!. Once chilled, cut it into squares and serve!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Radishes can be treated as turnips!. You can saute, boil, or bake them as you would for any turnip recipes!.

They are excellent in soups, both the radishes and the leaves!.

The leaves can be treated as turnip greens, mustard greens, collard greens, or kale!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

they taste okey roasted on the grill, on shish k bobs they add a kick!.

you can quarter them and put them into stews at the last minute for extra flavor, dont cook them like this for a long time, it diminishes the texture!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
