Lemon sole- use by date yesterday? can i still eat it?!


Question: Lemon sole- use by date yesterday!? can i still eat it!?
the fish has skin on it, i opened the pack & it rather honks (ie stinks) but who knows maybe it just smells rather like honking fish, maybe lemon sole with skin honks in genereal!.!. can i get away with cooking it!? and attempting to eat it!?Www@FoodAQ@Com

I'd say no no no !! I made a sandwich today with 1 day out of date prawns and YUK !! They are now stinking in my bin under my desk even though I wrapped them in 2 carriers, don;t risk it with fish unless u want some time off work !!Www@FoodAQ@Com

A fish as delicate as Lemon sole, out of date, is not worth a couple of nights talking to your best mate Mr!. Shanks!.

Fish when fresh has no smell at all, if anything cold water, nothing else!. As soon as it develops an odour, bin it!.

Rules of poultry and fish, if it is slimy or stinks to high heaven, bin it faster than the result of eating it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Yes!.!.!.it's leap year, that gives you an additional day!. Rinse the fish well under cold water, then soak in milk for 1/2 hour before cooking!. That will do it!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

When fish has gone off, it generally has a strong ammonia smell!.!.!.!.but if it smells as bad as you say, then I'd chuck it away!!!!Www@FoodAQ@Com
