Answers:
Make yourself a "double boiler" by finding 2 pots similar in size!. Fill the larger one with water until the bottom of the smaller one slightly rests in it!. For a 5# block of Velveeta(sorry, I'm used to cooking in volume), use about a pint of heavy cream(or milk for less calories)!. Med-high heat until water simmers!. Cover and stir occasionally!. This method is sure-fire as long as the water doesn't evaporate or boil out!. If you're not in a hurry, you can do it on low heat and just check on it once in awhile, or high heat if you're going to stand over it to stir and keep an eye on the water,
P!.S!.- I know it's messy, but if you cut the Velveeta into chunks before melting, it will go a lot faster!. ; }Www@FoodAQ@Com

If it comes out badly in the microwave, try using a lower temp and shorter cooking time!. Stop it often to stir!.

If you cannot find directions on the box or the website (try these places first) cut your cheese into chunks and place in a saucepan on the stove on low heat!. Watch it and stir often until it melts!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

put it in a saucepan with some milk and continulously stir it!.!.!. i do this all the time and it turns out great!.!.!. if you want it thick dont add a lot of milk you want it thin add more milk!.!.!. for half a thing of the 12oz box of velveeta i usually add like 1/4 to 1/3 cup of milkWww@FoodAQ@Com

Melted Velveeta Cheese:

Cut Velveeta Cheese into chunk and melt cheese on medium heat in about 1 cup of milk and 4 tbs of butter!.

I do this for any recipe I use so the cheese does get "gummy"!.

hope this helps!. good luck and enjoy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
