Cute party idea!. I think all kids love fried rice!. You can make a ton of it easily and it's cheap, too ;p Always use day old cooked rice when making this!.
also, Chinese chicken wings could be a big hit!
Here are some recipes, I think beef or chicken always turns out best in rice!. If you are near a Michael's craft store they sell little Chinese take out boxes that would be a cute way to serve food without dirtying a lot of dishes!. They have chopsticks, too!. But I would definitely supply those with a regular fork!.
Have fun!

Hopefully you're near a market w/ an Asian Foods section!.

Sweet and Spicy Shrimp!. makes about 12-14 appetizers and requires 3 steps!. Blend, Simmer and Toss

Get a Blender: The following can be blended all at once!.!.

[2] Medium Onions cut in 1/4's

[1/4 cup] of Sriracha (spicy red chili sauce) the one w/ the rooster!.

[1/2 cup] Sugar

[1/2 can] of Crushed Pineapple or just pineapple juice

[3 cups] of Mirin or Sake (the alcohol will cook out later) Sweet Rice Wine

[1 can] Whole Peeled Tomato don't need the juice

Salt & Pepper to taste!.

Blend the ingredients, starting on a low setting to avoid splashing!. Consistency should be like watery oatmeal!.

Simmer the sauce over low-medium heat for about 15 min!. stirring occas!. keep tasting it to adjust the sweetness or spiciness!. By now the sugar has dissolved, alcohol cooked out and the sauce has thickened enough to coat the shrimp!.

Add 3 lbs!. of cooked shrimp and increase the heat to medium high and cook just long enough to heat up the shrimp!. Frozen will do fine, just thaw overnight, or under COLD water prior to adding it to the sauce!.

You can serve about 4-5 shrimp per kid w/ some cubed pineapple and cherry tomatoes to garnishWww@FoodAQ@Com
