Question: Making cake but don't have butter (box cake)!?
Can I use vegetable oil or margarine!?!?!? If yes, how much should I use!?!?!? It calls for 1 stick of butter!.!.!.Thanks!Www@FoodAQ@Com

1 stick is 1/4 pound of butter
you can use the same amount of margerine
and probably the same amount of oil
technically your adding fat to the cake content
they both have that

I don't know about the veg!. oil but the margarine will work fine, just use the same amount as you would butterWww@FoodAQ@Com
