Question: Yummy easy idea for chicken legs marinade!?
Ive bought some chicken legs and looking for an easy way to make them really yummy!. Im a very basic cook and want to suprise my bofriend with some really yummy chicken legs!.!.!.any ideas and recipes will be greatly appreciated!! keeping in mind im only a beginner cook!! thanksWww@FoodAQ@Com


Answers:
Miami Chicken
1/2 c!. ketchup
1/4 c!. vinegar
3 tbsp!. oil
2 tbsp!. brown sugar
2 tbsp!. Dijon mustard
2 tbsp!. Lemon juice
1 tbsp!. basil
Dash of salt and pepper
2 minced garlic cloves!.!.!.or about 2 tbsp!. of garlic power/salt

Mix everything together and pour over chicken!. Let the chicken sit in the marinade for about an hour and a half at room temp!.

After it has sat, put in the oven at 350 or put on grill
Use the marinade to baste the chicken while your cooking it!.
Turn the chicken every 10 to 12 minutes and continue basting!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Some ideas:

- Marinate and cook with Tariyaki
- Simmer some mushrooms in butter and combine with alfredo sauce!. Pour the sauce combination on the chicken (possibly on a bed of pasta)!. If you have access to a zester, zest some lemon peel and sprinkle over the dish!.
- If serving with potatoes (herbed): Marinate the chicken with sweet chili sauce and balsamic vinegar!. Bake the chicken, basting with a butter sweet chili sauce combination (about 1/4 butter:3/4 sweet chilli sauce)!.
- Coat with cajun seasoning and fry with a bit of oil or bake!.

Limeade chicken

1 tin frozen limeade
1 clove of garlic, slivered
1 tbsp worcester sauce
1 tbsp dried chives or 1 green onion, chopped

Put the legs in a container or ziploc bag!. Mix marinade ingredients together and then pour over chicken!. Marinate for at least 1 hour (the longer the better up to 24 hrs)!. Remove chicken from marinade!. Discard marinade!.

You can then grill the legs on a BBQ or bake them in the oven at 350F for 1 hr!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup lemon juice
2 tablespoons minced onion
dash salt and pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley, or 1 teaspoon dried parsley
Mix all ingredients!. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes before using!. For grilled or broiled chicken, pour marinade over 2 to 3 pounds of chicken pieces; refrigerate for 4 hours or more!. Do not re-use marinade!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

At the grocery store there is a brand called Lowrys!. They have the best marinades in my opinion!. several different flavors such as herb and garlic, teryiaki and so on!.

If you are wanting to make a homeade marinade you can use worshtershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic, and crushed red pepper!.

Then cook in the oven at 400 degrees until they are done!.!.!.!. probably an hour but I am not totaly sure about that!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I have been in the foodie biz my whole life!. I have never liked chicken legs, so I never cooked them!

However, I happened to try this recipe last week, and it was VERY good!.!.!.kind of tastes like the spicy chicken from Popeye's Fried Chicken:

Put 8 drumsticks into a large plastic bag and pour in 1/2 cup tabasco or other hot sauce!. Marinate for at least an hour!.!.!.!.up to an entire day!.

In another large plastic bag, pour 1/3 cup flour, 1tsp salt, and 2TBSP yellow cornmeal!. Mix well, then add the legs, a couple at a time, and shake in the bag til well coated with flour mixture!.

Fry in oil over medium heat!.!.!.for about 20-25 minutes (drumsticks take a little longer than other cuts)!.

If you have a crockpot this would be easier, but if not you can do them in the oven!.

brown sugar
soy sauce
can of pineapple chunks
dried onions
finely chopped yellow and green bellpeppers

Add you chicken along with this maranade into the crockpot and let simmer!. You can add a rou of flour or cornstarch and water to thicken it up the last 15 minutes of cooking!. Pour over rice!. So yummy!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Marinate your chicken legs overnight in Italian Salad Dressing!. Drain!. Mix together 1 cup panko or regular bread crumbs, 1 tsp seasoned salt, 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese!. Roll legs in this mixture and place in baking dish!. Drizzle with melted butter and bake at 375 degrees until golden brown and juices run clear (about 45 minutes)!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Ginger-Lime Marinade for Chicken
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
1 grated lime peel

Mix all the ingredients together with a hand held blender or food processor Marinate the chicken for at least 2 hours then grill, BBQ or bake!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

The most simple way to cook your chicken legs!.

Take one tea spoon of Chilli Powder and equal of Corriender Powder!. Salt to taste!. Mix with 2 spoons of yogurt!. Apply a coating over the chicken legs!. If the pieces are big, make few scores on the legs with a knife, so that the marinade penetrates well!. Leave it for one hour and deep fry it to mild golden colour!. Fry in sim for better taste!. Marinate at least 6 hours in a bottle of good cheesy, spicy Italian dressing!. Grill!.

Or coat them with plain Shake and Bake for Chicken and bake per the package directions after the marinating is done!.

Overnight is better if you have the time to marinate them that long!.

i use asian sesame dressing!. marinate it at least 4 hours then you can pan fry it, bake for 350 degress for 45 minutes until juices are clear when poke it with a fork or grill it!. good luck!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Put the legs in a plastic bag with some tequilla, salt, pepper, and lime juice!. Let it soak all day until dinner!. This is awesome!. Oh, I forgot, chop some cilantro in the bag too!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
