Question: Beef Kabobs--!?
I have some Cow I want to make kabobs out of!. Any good recipes for marinating them!?

These grilled kebabs are marinated in a delicious yogurt sauce!. If you want to make this dish spicier, add more horseradish to it!.
Prep Time: 30 minutes
Cook Time: 12 minutes
Ingredients:
1 pound lean round steak, cut into 1 inch pieces
2 medium onions, cut into wedges
1/2 cup plain yogurt
2 tablespoons coarse prepared mustard
2 tablespoons orange juice (or brandy)
2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon horseradish
Preparation:
Combine yogurt, mustard, orange juice, sugar, and horseradish!. Add beef cubes to mixture, cover and refrigerate for anywhere from 30 minutes to overnight!. Thread beef onto skewers alternating with onion wedges!. Preheat grill!. Grill kebabs for 8 to 12 minutes or until done turning once!. Brush with yogurt marinade, halfway through the cooking time!.

SWEET "KICK" STEAK SAUCE MARINADE

Makes a great Steak Sauce variation with a hint of sweetness and a red pepper sauce kick!

? cup Lawry's? Steak Sauce
2 ? teaspoons Lawry's? Seasoned Salt
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce
1 to 1? pounds top sirloin steak

In small bowl, combine all ingredients except steak; reserve 2 tablespoons for brushing during grilling!. In large Ziploc? bag, add steak and all but reserve of marinade; seal bag!. Marinate in refrigerator for 1 hour!. Remove steak from bag, discarding used marinade!. Grill over medium high heat, brushing both sides with reserved marinade mixture, until desired doneness!. Serve immediately with additional Steak Sauce for dipping, if desired!.

Makes 4 to 6 servings!.

Marinate Time: 1 hour
Cook Time: Varies with steak thickness

Hint: For an extra spicy kick, sprinkle in a few red pepper flakes as desired!.

Mesquite Chicken and Roasted Corn Salsa

1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breasts
Lawry's Mesquite Marinade

1/2 C frozen corn
1 tomato minced
1/2 red onion, minced
1/2 red bell pepper minced
1 T olive oil
salt and pepper
2 T minced cilantro

1!. Place chicken in a large ziplock bag and pour half the bottle of marinade over!. Marinate for 20 minutes, then place on a preheated grill and cook for 10 minutes, turning once!.
2!. While chicken is marinating, set a medium skillet on the stove and add frozen corn!. Allow corn to sizzle and pop until it begins to char!. Remove corn from skillet!.
3!. Pour olive oil in skillet and add onion and red pepper!. Saute until softened and charred!. Add corn back into skillet, season with salt and pepper, and mix in chopped tomato and cilantro!. Stir for one minute, allowing flavors to incorporate and then remove from heat and plate alongside of the cooked chicken!.
Cumin Spiced Fries with Chipotle Ketchup

Fries:

3 Large baking potatoes, peeled and cut into slices
2 T olive oil
salt and pepper
1/2 T cumin
1/2 t ancho chile powder

1!. Preheat oven to 400 degrees!.
2!. Place potatoes and following ingredients into a large ziplock bag!. Shake to thoroughly coat!. Place on large cookie sheet and bake for 25 minutes!.

Chipotle Ketchup

1/2 C ketchup
1 T minced chipotle pepper in adobo sauce

1!. Mix together and serve with fries!.

Shish Kabob Marinade


I use this all the time and it works with any kind of meat!. I especially like it with sirloin, and like to marinate overnight for added flavor!. Brush marinade over veggies also when cooking!.

3/4 cup oil
1/2 cup honey
3 tablespoons vinegar
3 tablespoons soy sauce
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 1/2 teaspoons salt

Mix ingredients together!. Pour over meat in plastic bag!. Marinate several hours or overnight!.




Marla's Magic Steak Marinade/Sauce


This marinade will produce the most incredible grilled steak you have ever had in your life!. It makes 2 quarts, but it lasts forever in the refrigerator!.

1 (20 ounce) bottle good-quality soy sauce
1 (10 ounce) bottle Worcestershire sauce
1 (10 ounce) bottle A-1? Steak Sauce
1 (10 ounce) bottle Heinz 57? Sauce
1 pound light brown sugar
2 teaspoons granulated garlic or garlic powder
2 teaspoons onion powder
1 teaspoon freshly-ground pepper
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1/3 cup prepared mustard
2 teaspoons Tabasco sauce

Mix all ingredients in a large glass or stainless steel bowl!. Whisk until well blended!. Store in tightly sealed jars in the refrigerator!.

To use, pour a small amount of the marinade in a nonporous baking dish and coat the steaks on both sides!. Marinade for about 30 minutes before cooking, turning often!.

when all else fails use Italian dressing!
I use different stuff for the moods I am in!. Why don't you bar-b-que them!? That would be different!.
What about a soy-ginger marinade!?
Or even Teriyaki!? you could make some fried rice and serve them on top, add some egg rolls and a fortune cookie and you have a semi-homemade Chinese take-out!. Yum!
