White choc macadamia cookies with shortening??!


Question: White choc macadamia cookies with shortening!?!?
would it make a big difference if i subituted crisco for butter in the recipe!? is there a specific reason anyone knows why it may not work!?!? i should be able to subtitute a stick of crisco an 6 tsp of water and its equal to butter!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

I use the butter flavored Crisco in my cookies a lot!. Butter will give you a richer flavor but it also spreads more when baked!. The Crisco makes them chewier and not as crisp usually!. I'm sure regular Crisco would work too but all recipes are different so it is hard to say with certainty!. You may sacrifice flavor and texture but chances are they will still be good!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
