What do you like in your sandwich?!


Question: What do you like in your sandwich!?
Answers:
Depends on the day and mood, I suppose, but here are some of my favorites:

1!. Tuna salad on whole wheat with cream cheese and sliced black olives!.
2!. Meatloaf on wheat with mayo and crushed potato chips
3!. Corned beef or pastrami, saurkraut, swiss cheese, kosher dill pickles, cole slaw!.
4!. Turkey, havarti, and green chili's
5!. Roast beef on sourdough, jack cheese, horseradish sauce, sliced tomatos, romaine!.
6!. Smythfield ham, smoked gouda cheese, honey mustard on potato bread!.
7!. Sliced deli meats, such as sopressata, cappicola, salami, ham, pepperoncini, dill pickles, tomato, lettuce, Italian dressing on sourdough!.
8!. Liverwurst, or country pate, on white bread with mayonaise and brie!.
9!. Sliced beefsteak tomatos, sauteed platter bacon on potato rosemary bread (toasted)!.
10!. Egg salad with curry and sweet relish in pita halves with green leaf lettuce!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

For a sandwich depends on what I am having!.!.!.

bologna sandwhich = 2 slices bread, mayo, mustard, lettuce, onion, 2 peces of bologna, & cheese!.

Egg sandwhich = 2 slices of bread toasted, mayo, mustard

BLT sandwhich = 2 slices of bread toasted or non, mayo, lettuce, bacon & tomato

Chicken sandwhich = 2 slices bread or a bun, chicken patty, honey-mustard dressing, & onion

hotdog sandwhich = bun, hotdog, chili sauce, & cheese
or
hotdog = bun, hotdog,mayo & cheese
or
hotdog = no bun, diced w/ ketch-up on the side for dipping!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Pineapple slices and Pan-Seared Spam in a finger sandwich is a tasty treat!. Sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top for some added crunch!.

Some other nice flavor combinations are:
1!. Grilled Chicken breast, sour cream and chopped dill!.
2!. Fresh Mozzarella, Tomato and Fresh Basil and Extra Virgin Olive Oil!.
3!. Thinly sliced Chinese Roast pork and pickled cabbage with Hoisin Sauce!.
4!. Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato with Mayonaise!.

Try using Kew-P Mayo, the Japanese brand!. It has extra egg yolk, and a stronger, "French-like" Taste!.

Try making a flavored Mayonaise, by mixing Mayo with Fresh ground mustard seeds or a light horseradish for a kick!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

California Grilled Veggie Sandwich
1/4 cup mayonnaise
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/8 cup olive oil
1 cup sliced red bell peppers
1 small zucchini, sliced
1 red onion, sliced
1 small yellow squash, sliced
2 (4-x6-inch) focaccia bread pieces, split horizontally
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, minced garlic, and lemon juice!. Set aside in the refrigerator!.
Preheat the grill for high heat!.
Brush vegetables with olive oil on each side!. Brush grate with oil!. Place bell peppers and zucchini closest to the middle of the grill, and set onion and squash pieces around them!. Cook for about 3 minutes, turn, and cook for another 3 minutes!. The peppers may take a bit longer!. Remove from grill, and set aside!.
Spread some of the mayonnaise mixture on the cut sides of the bread, and sprinkle each one with feta cheese!. Place on the grill cheese side up, and cover with lid for 2 to 3 minutes!. This will warm the bread, and slightly melt the cheese!. Watch carefully so the bottoms don't burn!. Remove from grill, and layer with the vegetables!. Enjoy as open faced grilled sandwiches!.
Yield: 4 servings

Cream Cookie Sandwich Hearts
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature
1/3 cup heavy cream
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 pinch salt
1 1/4 cups pink sanding sugar, for rolling
3/4 cup red-currant jelly

In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, mix flour, butter, cream, vanilla, and salt until smooth!. Flatten dough into two equal discs, and wrap in plastic!. Chill until firm, 2 to 3 hours!.
Arrange rack in middle of oven!. Heat oven to 325 degrees F!. Line three baking sheets with Silpat baking mats or parchment paper!.
On a well-sugared surface, roll out dough, one half at a time, to a 1/8-inch thickness, continuously sprinkling sugar over the dough while rolling!. Using a 2-inch heart-shaped cutter, cut out 72 heart shapes!. Place 24 cookies on each baking sheet!. Chill all cookies until firm, about 10 minutes!.
Bake cookies, one sheet at a time, until light golden brown, about 15 minutes!. Transfer to a rack to cool!.
In a small bowl, stir jelly until smooth!. Place jelly in a small pastry bag fitted with a #11 plain round tip, and pipe 1/2 teaspoon per cookie on half of the cookies!. Place remaining cookies on top to form sandwiches!.
