i found this recipe and havent tried it yet!.
saucy country-style oven ribs
Smooth, salty, tangy, and sweet — this sauce and ribs are a perfect dinner duet!.
4 lb boneless country-style pork ribs
1 large onion, finely chopped (2 cups)
4 garlic cloves, minced (2 tablespoons)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 1/2 cups ketchup (12 oz)
2/3 cup honey
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/2 cup Worcestershire sauce
6 tablespoons fresh lemon juice (from 2 lemons)
2 tablespoons plus 1 teaspoon dry mustard
2 teaspoons drained bottled horseradish
1 teaspoon black pepper
Preparation
Put oven rack in middle position and preheat oven to 350°F!.
Put ribs in a 6- to 8-quart pot and cover with water by two inches!. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, skimming froth, 30 minutes!.
Meanwhile, cook onion and garlic in oil in a 3- to 4-quart heavy saucepan over moderate heat, stirring occasionally, until onion is tender, about 15 minutes!. Stir in remaining ingredients and simmer, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes!.
Drain pork in a colander and pat dry, then arrange in 1 layer using tongs in a 13- by 9-inch baking dish!. Pour sauce over pork to coat evenly, then cover dish tightly with foil!. Bake 1 hour, then remove foil and carefully turn pork over with tongs and cook, uncovered, until very tender, about 30 minutes!. Skim fat from sauce if desired!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Au Gratin Potatoes
Perfect comfort food!
2 lbs!. Idaho Potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced (about 5 cups)
2 T melted butter
1/2 tsp!. salt
1/4 tsp!. black pepper
1 C sharp cheddar cheese, grated
1/4C fresh bread crumbs
Pre-heat oven to 425°!.
Lightly grease a shallow 1 1/2 quart casserole with butter!. Arrange sliced potatoes in layers!. Sprinkle with melted butter, salt and pepper!. Top with grated cheddar cheese and bread crumbs!.
Bake 30 minutes, covered!. Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender!.
Simple Slaw
This cole slaw is easy to make and perfect for topping Carolina style pulled pork sandwiches!.
* 1 small head cabbage
* 1/4 cup cider vinegar
* 1/4 cup mayonnaise
* 1 tablespoon sugar
* 1/2 tablespoon black pepper
* 1 teaspoon salt
Chop cabbage coarsely with a sharp knife!. It's important to cut the cabbage and not crush it!. Mix other ingredients in a large bowl!. Add cabbage and toss!.
Cinnamon Apples
* 1 Tbs!. unsalted butter
* 2 Jonathan or Granny Smith apples, cored and sliced thinly into rings
* 1 Tbs!. brown sugar
* 1 tsp!. ground cinnamon
Melt butter in a heavy nonstick skillet over medium heat!. Sauté apple rings 5-6 minutes, until tender!. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon!. Stir gently to blend!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Sounds delicious!. How about roasted red potatoes (quartered, drizzled with oil, chopped fresh garlic, salt, pepper), which could be cooked at the same time, corn on the cob, and lots of green salad!? The ribs are rich, but not very filling, so add a substantial side dish to accompany them!. Try a fresh strawberry pie for dessert!.Www@FoodAQ@Com

Any of the traditional BBQ sides will work - potatoes (baked, mashed, smashed, whatever you prefer), corn on the cob, green beans, baked beans!. okra, mac and cheese, a salad, !.!.!. the list could go on!.

I would say potatoes, not baked potatoes because that would make it a pretty big meal!. Maybe just some plain potatoes with some salt sprinkled on!. Or seasoned garlic, butter, potatoes!.Www@FoodAQ@Com
